INTERVIEW

Interview should be either a cocktail style dress, or a blazer/dress combo or blazer/skirt combo.  The Interview dress or skirt should not be shorter than 6 inches above the knee when standing, or walking.   You are safer to ensure the skirt is 2-3 inches above the knee.  Also, take into consideration the slits that are usually on the back of business suits.  Do not open these slits leave them secure.

SPORTSWEAR

This should be a blazer and pant suit.   These can be found at many of the local retail clothing stores such as Macy's, Dillards, JCPenny, etc.  If you need help in choosing color combinations, please let us know.

EVENING GOWN

Your evening gown should not be too sexy or overdone.  It should not overpower you.  Some rhinestones and detail on your gown is great, but please don't buy a fully sequined or heavily stoned gown.  Stage lights grab on to that sparkle and we lose your face.

  • You need to have 1 inch straps and the back of your dress cannot fall below your natural waistline.

  • You may not have a slit in the front of your dress that goes above your knee.

  • If you do have a slit sew it to below the knee.

Shoes and jewelry are important as well.  You will need to walk in your shoes prior to the pageant to ensure you will be able to walk in them, as well as with stand extended periods of time.  Your evening gown should fall right at the floor.  It should not be too long as to trip you on stage but should not be too short as to show your heels off.
